Are you a Young Person between 18-29

looking for the skills and support to succeed?

TAKE QUIZ BELOW
See if CLA is right for YOU!

Can you relate to any of these young people?

Have you said to yourself...

  • THE WORLD IS CRAZY

  • Why does it feel like no one is really hiring? Can someone just tell me what my career options are? The future seems so uncertain and I'm not sure where to focus my energy.

  • I'LL FIGURE IT OUT EVENTUALLY

  • I don’t have much real-world experience, although I know it’s important for my resume and my career. My major didn’t require an internship, and it was never a priority... until now.

  • I FEEL LIKE A DOG CHASING ITS TAIL

  • It makes me nervous that most employers are looking for 1-2 years of related experience. How am I supposed to get the job without experience and experience without the job?

  • I WANT TO FEEL INSPIRED BY MY WORK

  • I don’t mean to sound picky, but I really don’t want to just be making copies or serving coffee (or the virtual equivalent). I want to do meaningful work that makes a difference.

  • I HAVE CAREER FOMO

  • I am a 'multi-preneur' with many interests and get anxious with the idea of picking just one thing. Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed, I get analysis-paralysis and do nothing.

  • I FEEL LIKE I'M OFF TRACK

  • Especially since COVID, I feel like I'm not doing what I'm meant to do. I want to make a career move, but I can't afford to take a major risk. I am not where I had hoped I would be.

Confued graduate
  • Do you feel worried about your future? Have you been running yourself into the ground juggling classes, work, health, family, and money issues with no end in sight?

  • Are you in a career transition trying to figure out your next move?

  • Have you ever woke up in a panic realizing you don't have experience or connections in your chosen field?

    NOW WHAT?

Could you use some support?

A career mentor? | A community?

WE HAVE SOMETHING FOR YOU.

We realize so many twentysomethings -- including college graduates -- are living at home with their parents or in tiny apartments feeling stuck, broke, and maybe even feeling a little hopeless.

But it’s not like you’ve just been sitting around… We get it. And I promise, you’re not alone.

You may have felt rushed in meetings with your advisors-- sometimes so focused on “checking boxes” in order to graduate, you forgot to question if those were even the right boxes for you.

Maybe you’ve been applying to jobs and internships only to be rejected or ghosted again.

You may be weighing the pros and cons of attending graduate school. Or you may already have a decent job, but be feeling unfulfilled or stressed about your current situation.

The Career & Leadership Accelerator (CLA) can help YOU!

We are deeply committed to empowering our participants to both Do Well for themselves & Do Good work in the world... Let's GO!

What will you learn in CLA?

  • Whether you are looking for an internship or your next career move, CLA helps you build up your confidence, clarity, and connections.

  • This unique 4-week program is designed for career-motivated, purpose-driven young professionals to learn and grow in a safe and encouraging virtual environment.

  • You will envision a future that inspires you and discover your core values, challenges, and goals through stimulating conversations, guest speaker presentations, and even a virtual networking event.

  • You will sharpen your professional skills-- such as communication, project management, and leadership-- that will serve you wherever you go, gaining lifelong friends along the way.

  • “I have, literally, created the program I wish I had in my twenties. I didn’t get the memo that I could Do Well for myself AND Do Good work in the world until my mid-30s!”

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

What is the Career & Leadership Accelerator (CLA)?

CLA is a 4-week early-career accelerator program designed for career-motivated, purpose-driven young people between the ages of 18-29 who want to sharpen their professional skills and get the mentorship and support to succeed. While approximately 80% of our participants are either in college or hold a college degree, you do not need to be in college or hold a degree to participate in CLA.

    How does the program work?

Participants apply and are selected to be part of CLA twice per year-- in the Spring and Fall. They will engage in 30 hours of Live virtual skills training over a 4-week period. We meet via Zoom Mondays and Thursdays from 12-2pm and Fridays from 9am-12pm Eastern Time.

Can I miss any sessions, and will they be recorded?

Are you in school and/or working and wondering how you would fit CLA into your already busy schedule? Awesome problem to have! When she was a college professor, our founder Amy LOVED when her motivated students asked if they could participate in career and leadership opportunities outside of the classroom, and even incorporate real-world experiences into class work for credit. We are more than happy to help you discuss the benefits of CLA with your professors and bosses, and you'd be surprised how supportive many of them will be! In fact, some employers might offer to cover your program fee, since the training will directly benefit their organization! Although not recommended, CLA participants could miss up to 2 sessions with advanced notice. Of course "life happens," so we just ask that you be in communication ASAP regarding unexpected life circumstances. Yes, all sessions will be recorded and made available to participants.

What can I expect to get out of CLA?

You will absolutely gain: 1. Clarity about your values, skills, and career paths of interest, 2. Confidence from the interactive skills trainings, role-playing, and team building exercises, and 3. Connections among your peers and professionals guests that will serve you for the rest of your life.

    How much does it cost?

The Live (synchronous) professional training value that CLA delivers is well over $5,000 but, given our founder and CEO's deep commitment to equity and access, the cost remains at $500 for the full month program! You can pay in 2 payments ($250 + $250) or save $50 by paying $450 upfront in full. Credit/debit and ACH payments are accepted electronically. There is no additional program application fee. We have proven it is vital and highly effective for young people to "have some skin in the game" by investing in their own growth and development.

    Are there scholarships?

Yes! We have limited need-based partial scholarships for CLA. Scholarship requests are accessed on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please contact Amy regarding any payment concerns or to inquire about a need-based scholarship. You can email amy@visionsinternships or text or call her at 508-645-0409. PLEASE do not let the program fee stop you from applying! #PeopleOverProfit

What if I need to cancel?

Please know we are only accepting people into CLA who can make the full commitment so as to minimize any negative impact on our fellow participants and guest speakers. That said, if you need to cancel, please speak with Amy. One of her favorite lines is, "Anything is possible in communication!"
